DESCRIPTION:The need for blood is nonstop. Blood centers must have a readily available blood supply on our shelves in the event of emergencies.  On Wednesday morning\, May 25\, Carter BloodCare and nine other U.S. blood centers sent several units of O negative blood to South Texas\, and to our colleagues at South Texas Blood & Tissue to fulfill hospital requests.  \n\n\n\nWe provided blood to South Texas as part of our role in the Blood Emergency Readiness Corps. Donating blood is a powerful\, positive way to help others and support our greater community during this horrible crisis in Uvalde. When time is critical\, having blood available is lifesaving.  \n\n\n\nBlood drives are always essential.
